Nice model - thought the grabs look a bit dark so hard to see the detail.

Anyway - welcome to the sandbox

(must get some more modeling done and posted in my own box)

right now Im modelling a BEHINGER amplifier, but when I went to open the file to continue the model was all jacked-up(only the case of the amp, but when I smooth it ones it gets fixed.

Ive saved it that way with the body smooth ones, but now i can't open it. Hex freezes up on me.

here the file just to see if any one of you guys have the same problem.

Hi there,
tried to open your file in full screen mode, open dialogue stayed on screen and when I managed to get something showing it was all jagged triangles.
But it loaded OK when Hex was in windowed mode, after that it loaded OK in full screen mode. Why I don't know, but some of my old models dont load in 2.5? perhaps because monitor resolution has changed.

Loaded fine in my 2.5 version. Smoothed or unsmoothed, full screen or windowed: not a problem.

XP Pro SP2

PS: loaded via drag and drop if that makes any difference.

well Ive tried in the normal view and no luck. All the layers name of the models appear but it does't appear in the viewport, also it slows everything down alot.

I never actually updated Hexagon to the latest update, still modelling in 2.1.

I going to start from scratch or start another object to model, good thing there wasn't alot done.

thanks for the help.

I did this model last night, fairly simple. Its a peruvian earing that I saw at MET in New york. Made of gold and a green stone in the middle.

I forgot a ring made of triangles, that goes btw the rings of spheres.
Right now I working on texturing this bad-boy, but first I need to re-fresh my memory on how to UV in C4D, so I have to check out my extrenal hard-drive for the video tut.

I'll post updates of this when I finished the texture.

peace
_mon

Thanks. Me too, though modo is my tool of choice these days (still learning ) . Carrara still has the edge on landscapes over modo though, so I keep it around.

mon stdnt

Have you had a look at the joyful ,easy to use, MoI programme yet?
Something to add as a companion to almost any 3D app I suggest.

Said it before---love watching you progress!
