Yep, very nice. You obviously are an expert with Silo.

I second Couerl, any chance of a tutorial?

Smile Thanks, guys ...

Full blown tutorials ? Probably not, I do not have lots of time lately (instead going on 4 days of work per week I had to go on 6 for a few months)

Body of this vehicle was created out of 32 sided cylinder (top half) and some careful edge extrusion. Here is few tips (general ones):

I use mostly few commands in Silo, like polygon (with "keep together" option ON and OFF as needed) and edge extrude, inset and normal scale, shell, flatten and mirror.

I try to break model in as many parts as needed. I almost never model everything out of one single primitive, to me this is a key factor for fast modeling. I delete all polygons which are not gonna be visible in the rendering process as well (using "shell" command creates a lots of these).

If I subdivide the mesh (for more definition) I try to delete all the loops which do not contribute to the overall shape if possible.

Laugh Thanks Nate

Maybe, but not the fast lane (one with no speed limit), hehe

Anyways, here is a quick render in 15 min Vue environment (eco-system). "Terrain" is a simple half-sphere with some plants populated onto it...

Cheers
