Best small plant tutorial? - Polyloop

Hi! I am looking for a realistic plant modeling as well as landscape tutorial for AMAPI or something like it. Does AMAPI support isosurfaces or is it all displacement mapping? I am modeling a beetle and I want a realistic plant for it to sit on.

I'm not sure that Amapi is the best solution to create a landscape ;) You may take a look at Carrara or Vue d'Esprit.
Amapi smoothing don't have an iso display, but "isosurfaces" can mean a lot of things.
