Matchbox in Hexagon 2

I decide to recreate the same tutorial of the matchbox but now in Hex2.

Am going to make the uv maping of the matchbox in Hex2 soon.

Now that was interesting viewing, Juan! What I'd like to ask you is something about your workflow: why do you split edges so much after creating the base shape?
Let's see the single match, for example: after creating head and wood you enlarged the second, and then subdivided it many times.
Why?
