Need Gimp skinnig 3d model tutorial

HI
I am still learning How to skin for example some vehicle . If I export Uwmap like bmp for skinning I still dont know How to make it .
I am using Gimp

What exactly don't you understand?
Don't you understand what it is you're seeing in the UVMap, because that can be hard if it's not a good one.
I can understand that making good textures is hard, or even harder in my opinion, making good UVMaps.
I expect that it's not actually a problem about using Gimp as your 2d graphics software.
