Christmas card challenge

Every year I do a new Christmas card, this one is from last year and I'll get busy doing another one for this year. How about any old Christmas card you want? I'm not going to post anything specific, it could be as simple as a candle or as difficult as a hyper-realistic Santa or whatever you like in-between. Completion time is Christmas Day, have a shot at it and have fun.

Me too, maybe a bunch of Grinches this year! ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPBS7...eature=related

Those look great! I'll probably make some more models this weekend and maybe re-use some older one's and make a new scene... It's cold here so no rock cutting for me this weekend, perfect time to sit at my computer and do some work on this.

Cool stuff.
What are the rules for this?
Can we enter art from previous years?
Does it have to be 3d?
Any prohibition on art that has been published?

I am way too tied up with projects to have time to create new work.

Thanks.

No, I left it open ended to make it easy! Use or do whatever you want, rules and Christmas don't mix! Make a Santa or a Christmas tree or an Elf, I don't care... Make a snowy scene or use old models and re-arrange them for a new composition. Sky is the limit!

Oh, the only rule is it has to do something with Christmas, Chanukah or whatever you celebrate this time of year... Quanza for all I care, but it should be in the holiday spirit.

Now to the "real" one, the one for the new year to come !

Good to know about the rules for this (none, apparently)... so thought I would share a few.... (these were all done with Painter and PhotoShop).

This is actually in circulation now - done for a company that publishes western greeting and Christmas cards.

This was a cover for a national corporate in-house magazine, but it makes a fine card also.

Card for a diagnostic laboratory... they sent this to their clients (doctors)

Not to be snotty, but I am required (by the publishers) to mention that these are copyright protected. I will get in deep doo otherwise....

Wow Nate !

I especially like the first one for the humour and the overall feeling.
The colors are great too.

The third is also very nice, very very cute.
I'd say that it's the best in "cuteness" !

Not sure if I'll get chance to make new ones but here's mine from last year. Pictures of our garden worked over in Photoshop, text added in Fireworks. Hey, this new image hosting is great! Thanks Thomas.

Nice ones, Tony.
Where is your garden...?

Here's another - If you're ugly and have smelly mangy friends, you can still party down!
These varmints were done using Painter and PhotoShop

Like the others... copyright protected, (so the publisher doesn't eat my lunch)
