Polyloop Pokemon Challenge

A modeling challenge where everyone can participate. The goal is to model a Pokemon of your choice from the following sources.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/...l=181+Ampharos
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/...il=383+Groudon
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/...rom=382+Kyogre

Their is a huge variety of choices covering all levels of modeling so even a new user can participate just using primitives to build their Pokemon.

Rules are simple:
1) You must pick your Pokemon from the above list
2) Model in any package you want using any method(poly/Nurbs/Edge/Box/Primitives)
3) Submit which Pokemon you start on so others don't duplicate the choice.
4) Render out a 800x800 image with an alpha so all the entries can be composited into a large collage with all the contributors listed. This is so we can all have a group shot of our combined efforts.
5) Have Fun
6) There are enough to choose from that if you're bit by the modeling bug feel free to do more than one.

Nice Pete

The good thing is that there are so many options for any skill level of modeling so everyone can participate.

Tentacool

Here is a simple one that I was unfamiliar with Tentacool. Model in Hex render in Carrara.

Your Gyarados is coming along nice Steve.

rickei - it will last a month, most choices are simple enough we should have a herd by then I hope.

Little more work, domains setup and model finished and cleaned up.

Now to rig him, I had a hard drive go out at work today and had to deal with that and I wanted to finish him today, but ohwell... :\
No biggy, I think I can finish shading him and getting him rigged tomorrow and then maybe do a little NLA on the Ocean primitive or something simple.

Steve

Okay, rigged him up, now just to tweak shaders up and do environment.. Something simple I think, but would be cool if I knew more about these things, I don't know anything about Pokimon, where they live or what they are.. Hehe.. I know they aere some Anime cartoon thing, but just never saw it.

Might end up with an army of them, what font are you using for their names?

I should put that up on mine too.

Keep it consistant and all..

I have chosen Registeel.
I'm trying to do this in Hexagon. Nice exercise.
I have done all of my modeling in Carrara VM so far.

Getting there slowly.... Fun to getting use to new toys....

I'll have to finish this off after I drop back down to Hex 2.1
2.2 is really behaving badly for me today

still have LOTS to do to this one though.
