UVs unfolded in Shade.

That could be the subject of a tutorial, but here, I do not have
really time. Quite simply to show that it is possible to make a UVs
unfolding in Shade. To test it I used a cubic form and for the plating a
matrix known as "Dalboris"... I made two captures of image. The first
shows the UVs editor with the matrix and its figures... The second the
UVs editor without the image of the matrix but with the faces of the
cubic form once unfolded and scalings with the top of certain figures
of the matrix. The figures surrounded in white correspond to the
figures plated in the 3d view I had already tested it in CarraraPro. The
procedure is not completely the same but the in last analysis an
equivalent one. I did not read the handbook, it is by trying
than I have succeeded in finding the good sequence...
So, you can do it.

Excuse the messy english translation ... Hope you will understand just the same...

Perfectly clear. You converted to a curved surface then to a polygon mesh?

How did you get it to unfold? I tried and all I get is front or side. when I choose one or the other it changes the uv. I can't seem to figure out how to unfold.

I don't know if this will help you. If you want to change the location of one of the cube face you must select it in the UV room, then click on the selected face button. This allow you first to isolate it from the rest of the other faces, than to move, scale or rotate it in any direction you want and fit it on a part of the image you have loaded. See images i have uploaded. The vertex are red when unselected and black when selected.
