Hello all,
I am new to the creation of graphics and need some help. I need to illustrate text books and was hping somebody could point me to the right software for the job

If it is humanoid figures you want to illustrate you may want to check out Poser or Carrara. If it is mechanical objects and landscapes then Carrara and Hexagon might be your best bet. Carrara can do everything but Photoshop would also be handy to have.
