Tired and Worn Out

Thomas recently stated that he did not know who vincent kirchner was, so I guess I had better introduce myself.

50 years old
location - Tiffin, Ohio USA
32 Years mechanical cad design (started on Cadam mainframe) - old as dirt
last 20 years working for automotive glass manufacturer (tier 1)
title - Cad System Admin
dept - Product Development
software currently running - Icem, Rhino, Speos (optics)
software occasional use - UGNX, CatiaV5, Marc/Mentat (FEA)
software learning - Blender, Bryce, Hexagon

I have been running Rhino for the last 6 years to support the optics software, this has created a hobby of 3D modeling which I hope can be turned into a small retirement business. The Hexagon, and Blender are being looked at to fill a void in organic modeling that has been too tough to perform using Rhino. I came upon this forum in search of tutorials for the Hexagon product. Many forums do not contain an open atmosphere to new members, this is not true here, that is the main reason that I like this forum. I am also a member of the Renderosity forums for Rhino.

Regards
Vince

Still working on the race track in Rhino, damn customers always screw up my plans. The track surface has all of the points pulled, surfaces have been trimmed, now cleaning up the chicane areas for red and white texturing. The customer is not concerned about realistic or dirty texturing, so mostly procedural textures will be used. Not very sexy, but it pays the bills.

That's what Nate Owens once referred to as "Client Interference"
