Help Polyloop.net: Donate!

Hi!

Edit - donations are now closed. Polyloop.net have enough money to be indepandant ;)
Thanks for the donators, you can check their names in the link below or at the end of this post.

As I mentionned on some thread about the futur of polyloop.net, I built a webpage for those of you who want to donate, for the hosting, etc.

It's not an obligation at all!

http://www.polyloop.com/eovia3d/donate.php

Thanks for your support!

This site has probably generated thousands of dollars for Eovia. Don't tell me Eovia is not contributing even a dollar for this site.

He said contributed, not that they weren't paying for their own site, but that they weren't contributing to a site that were getting them revenue...

Thomas.. I will be happy to support.

There is a site called swiftdev that is the same as this. Runs privately but supports a swift 3d users. We contributed there as well to keep it up and running.

Thomas over there we put a small logo with contributor written on it under the contributors name. This would show new and other members who contributed and promote others to do so,

OK, I made a donation let's keep this place running.

Thomas,

Not sure if you want to tell us this but, how much does it cost per month to keep this site going?

Cornodog: I'll try to find a way to do that, it's a very good idea !

I try to update each time the donation page with the name of the donators. But I'm not sure I have all nicknames. Please, check the bottom of the page and tell me if i forgot you or if I type a wrong nickname !

And thanks again all for your support !!!

Thomas, check if you pay too much.

My sites are hosted by powweb.com:
- 20 GB storage.
- 400 GB traffic/month (~13GB/day) !
- PHP / 5 mySQL databases.
- Your sites run through 5 Unix (backup) servers.
- $200 / 2 years.

http://powweb.com/PowWeb/OnePlan/Detail

I never had access problems.

I pay a little bit more a year, but i have real admins availabe when I need, no bandwidth limits, no database limitations, as emails, etc. In fact, I don't want to change of hosting at all

But thanks for the tips !

PS: for the bandwdth limits, 168 Gb were out yesterday...

I've just checked the home page and there are over 4500 members here. If Thomas is paying let's say $250 a year. Then if everyone donates a dollar that would give us $4500 or roughly 18 years of hosting.

Taking into account rising prices let's call it 10 years. So, a decade of Eovia3D.net for a dollar. Sounds good to me.

Unless I've got my figures wrong

Cornodog: under which 'realname' did you donate plese (I don't know everybody name

-ash-: The donator are added to the donate page each time I have new one. It's far away from the 4500.. but currently, I have enough for a year and a half. But extra money perhaps will give me the opportunity to add new services to Eovia3D.net, like personnal blogs, etc.
But I'll also have to add more storage... attachement and gallery take a lot of hosting ;)

And thanks again for all the donators!!!
