Creativity

On the DAZ/Eovia issue.

Don't place your bet too soon.

If you think you are Mr. creative, check out the various galleries on the DAZ site.

You may think you're hi-an-mighty, and DAZ users are not creative, but I beg to differ. If you don't see some creativity there you are blind.

It's a false accusation that it's not creative.

Just because they don't "grind their own pigments and make their own canvases", does not mean that people who use DAZ materials are not creative.

Some of you people are too stuffy to imagine. You think you're so good and it makes you mad see your toils are mundane in the world of art. Been done many times over anyway.

Maybe you should try some real creativity yourselves for a change instead of bitching about your future tools that you don't even have.

You're the kind of people who would blame your poor output on your tools anyway, when it's YOU, not your tools that make your art.

When I say "YOU", you know who I mean.

Eat me...

I'm glad for those few guys I saw checking out, asking for a refund.
Ha ha ha... They'll be coming back pretty soon under false names asking if they can get Hexagon 2.
Sorry Charley, you buys your ticket and you gets your ride.
Make "'em" pay full price I say. Chumps anyway...
Lordy, Lordy, what a tumultious two days.
I've been using C5P and finding frustration with the vertex modeler. It's pretty dumb actually.
I have not got a full grasp on Hexagon 1 and it sometimes fills me with resentment on how horribly obtuse it is. Well, it's made by French people no wonder.

Pardon me you French, but your language is not something I can understand, besides "wee" or "merci".

Just a dumb American. But know this: I am 1/2 american indian (Comannche), so you can't expect me to know your vocal sounds or language.

Cheers,
Frank

Lol, you sound like one of those "Poser defenders" from Renderosity Poser forum, who have nothing else to do all day then browse CGtalk forums, DROOL over the art overthere, and sometimes stumble on nasty comment about Poser beeing a toy, made by 16 years old, who "owns" illegal copy of 3D studio Max and believes whatever he creates in it is way superior than stuff made in Poser or Bryce by anyone else.

That all said, same Renderosity individuals often used to tell me that 3D modeling is not an art (wich is equivalent to sculpting in real world), only stuff they do with 3D models IS !!!

I'm not saying you are one of them, you just sounded a bit like one of them

I actually do grind my own pigments, cuz I simply like the smell of it, some people do not.

People who think they made art by loading Vickie in, dressing her up, using someone elses pose and background, and pressing render button and posting it, can call it art, I really do not mind.

I must admit that it gets little bit annoying when after they make 20 images like that, and get like 400 comments on how good they are (with Renderosity style pat-in-the-back comments, of course) they start calling their work PIPELINE. But again, that is their thing...

Wow, I think I lost my train of thought here

What I'm trying to say here, it is very funny to watch all this (it happens over and over, in cycles, you know, the big debate: WHAT IS ART???), let me grab my bag of popcorn !

Cheers

I can see how you feel cheated. It's happened to me several times in the CAD world.
I worked SO hard to make a feature happen in a design, and lo-and-behold, a few years later it was an item on a pull-down menu.

My toil meant nothing, except in the past.

Well, in this world of fast moving content, your toil is about the same. If you think you're an "Artiste", better get something REALLY SPECIAL, because your art has already been recreated ad-infinitum by robot art machines which create idyllic scenes of heavenly beauty on a scientific western scale.

Get over it man. This is the 21st century. Soon all you knew before will be programmed and opperated by robotic machines.

You better find your real soul in this and figure out what you really have to offer - is it modeling, shading/texturing, or is it something more sublime? Something a machine could never know?

That's just great, especially coming from a minority. You should apologize, man. It's palatable to attack ideas and apps, but when it comes to racial bashing... tsk, tsk.

BTW, LoneGunmann,

I agree with you, but you lost the point. You're all about how so-and-so does such with what and how cheesy it all is.
Can't you see that it don't matter which tool you pick up? What matters is what song you make.
You downgrade all that you feel is lesser than your position while pumping yourself up to heights of glory, yet all that's here is only words.

Words, Words, Words. Simple words which mean so much and yet so little in this context.

How can you slam the people who used DAZ to create beauty because they got items from a bank store created by various artists all over the world?

You seem pretty small minded to think your kind is on top of the world. You're NOT.
You're just a meager person and now you howl over oppertunity because you thing this gives you cause.
But you're just noise. Get out of the way.

What the heck are you talking about Organiques?
Go back you sleep will you!

BTW - That's not RACIAL, it's nationalistic.

For your information - The French are not a different race, they are a different nationality, who choose to speak a different language that no-one in the world of Earth wishes to speak.

But no matter. Let them speak French, maybe someday their tongues will be tied and they will order a bunch of chilli burritos for all of us.

After the burning sensation subsides, they may give a little and say "Thank You".

Don't get me wrong. French people are great. What I said was not intended to be for or against any nationality.

However, Don't give me that BS. It's well known French people hate Americans.
You act like this is something new you never heard of but it's been going on since WWII when we saved your country from destruction, and you only said it was De-Gaulle who did it.

We should have let you die...

You ungrateful pricks...

Well twowhiles if you stick to the facts why some people a critisizing Daz figures
while you defend them thinking that they are the future in usability and workflow,
there are some issues to discuss.

Question first: Have you ever seen a Poser animation that doesent look stiff and emotionless?

Why? Because you cant really animate a big mesh like that in real time.
Most animators have meshes that are CREATED for a certain type of movement, with
quite low polygons and edgleloops in deformation areas. Then they use subd at rendertime. Poser models arent built like that. You cant really have a complicated
rig with shape animation and have a descent preview = bad animation timing.

And for stills. Dont the all look the same? I know you can aply morphs but I bet you
everyone in here can recognize a poser render if they see one.

And coming here accusing the French. Thats just stupid. But this kind of territorial
ignorance has been seen before. In Afganistan If I remember...
I lived 10 years in France so I feel a little french too you know.

French don't hate american at all. This discussion is only based on missinformation (as you can see on big information TV channel).

I close this discussion, I don't want such threads on my forum, which I want it to speak of 3D and not stpuidities like that.

(And yes, this is a french forum, own by a french which try to speak something else that it's native language. andwho include an english forum section).
