You are partially correct.

The Hex2 release is the big splash. If it was reversed and Carrara 6 was being released, Carrara would be getting all the pub.

There WILL be special deals soon on Carrara, Bob and Dan have said so multiple places ,multiple times, but it won't be the $1.99 deal Hexagon was.

I am sure DAZ is just waiting for the Hex2 buzz to settle before creating the next stir with Carrara. Like it or not, DAZ is very heavy into marketing.

Cheers,

Steve

Don't send Daz email! They have been been deluged with spam and other junk for so long that they ignore email completely.

Use the Contact Form under Support at Daz. It is the ONLY method that works. Otherwise call them on the phone.

Carrara has a bigger userbase than Hexagon no need for a $1.99 deal.
Didn't Hex 1 only have around 2 or 3 thousand users? Now it may have twice as many.

Puke

Now that all the hub-bub has died away and Hexagon 2 has been out for a couple of weeks, have there been any announcements about getting Carrara and its add-ons up on the Daz site? I had been working on getting a co-worker of mine into the realm of 3D (as she had been polishing my lackluster Photoshop skills), when the announcement of the DAZ buyout kind of rocked us all. I haven't mentioned to her the buyout yet, but now that we are at a lull again, I'd like the option for her to get the Carrara software if she decides to persue it (and there are a few plugins I have been kind of debating on and off over the past month).

Thanks for any info
Trothgard

The plugins are up on the DAZ site in the software section. I think they only went up today. Apparently Carrara was up for a while then it was gone again. Perhaps updating something.
