I know you're still working on Hex2 and will be for several months (including updates) when can we hope for an Amapi update?

Amapi was not part of the acquisition. This remains the property of Eovia Europe S.A. Information on the future of Amapi will be answered by that team, or you may send an email directly to that team at info@eovia.fr.

Hi Bob,

Thx for taking the time to post this helpfull thread,

1) Can we be confident that Hexagon and Carrera will continue to be developed in the same manner as we have seen in the last couple of years?

2) Will the Carrera and Hex teams have design and functionality freedom?

3) Can we expect continued open communication in the future with the Hex and Carrera teams as developement continues?

Thx Dan

Hi Bob,

From what I read on the other thread, we will receive an email on Wednesday concerning Hex 2.
You said "shorty be delivering" Hex 2. Will it be released before the end of April as originally stated?

I'm not interested in jumping off the Hexagon bandwagon, so I am curious if DAZ has delayed the release.

Thanks!

1) We are planning to continue the development of both Carrara and Hexagon. We held a product planning meeting just yesterday at the DAZ corporate offices in the Salt Lake valley with the complete Carrara team in attendance. We are enthused about the future and confident we will be able to continue to make the kinds of strides we have over the past 2 years.

2) Charles remains in direct control of Carrara development. He will also likely lead the Hexagon development in regard to making sure we are pulling in the same direction. DAZ acquired us for our ability to make and market great 3D apps, and that will not change.

3) ABSOLUTELY!!!!

For those of us that no longer wish to support the product line (because of the buy out by DAZ) and have already pre-ordered Hex2, be able to get a refund?

Bob, thanks for stopping in. Your last post answered the only question that I was concerned with. As for the future of the products and Eovia, I'll happily let that play out on its own. Thanks again for the information.

Bob,
Will you please tell us a bit about what you are working on adding to Carrara's next version? Will the requested features be implemented? I know it is too early at this point, but you could tell that THAT is what most Carrara users are worried about. So why not take this opportunity to give a straightforward answer here? I myself realized that the future of any application is VERY IMPORTANT to many people.

Will we still be getting the bonus content pack that was promised when I pre-ordered Hex2? Is this new bonus gift just that, or is it something else as well?

If you wish to have a refund on your pre-order of Hexagon 2, send your purchase receipt to info@eovia.com. The refund will be processed within 24 hours of receipt of the email.

Yes. Nothing has changed in what will be delivered with the Hexagon 2 pre-order upgrade.

It is too soon to comment specifically on future developments. I will say that we are looking at how we can closely bring our products together to provide the most value to our users. We plan to continue pushing upwards with all our products, and specifically with Carrara and Hexagon, while holding to our vision of making the tools easy to use.
