| Problem opening Zips attached to forum posts
I think this may be a problem only I am having, since I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere. Every zip file I've tried to open from these forums is giving me an error: "bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found) 0." Anyone know what my malfunction might be? It just seems to affect zips from here, whether I save them locally or try to open them directly, not other websites or sources. |

Your not the only one. I bet you are using Internet Explorer! It has been a regular problem which seems to be a site specific/ Internet Explorer problem though some problem with agreement to that. You need to import via Mossilla Firefox or similar to download. Please report it as a bug.

I'm sorry to repeat this answer, but the downloads has been tested on several browsers (include IE), on both PC and Mac, without errors. Anyway : -Clean your brower cache -try with another decomrpessor (like Winrar) -try with another browser, like Opera of Firefox |

Thomas I am told that .exe files are virtually uncoruptable and less in need of secondary programmes to make accessable. This from one of our government programmers. But I guess all is not straight forward--as usual!
