| DAZ models available for free
Hello, I'm new to this group and to 3D in general. I recently picked up some software (Bryce and DAZ Studio) in the DAZ web site. So, I've been busy trying to ramp up on the learning curve and also seeing what stuff is out there. DAZ offers at www.daz3d.com three of its popular models (compatible with Poser) for free: Victoria 3.0, Michael 3.0, and Aiko 3.0 (though her rigging seems to be a Light Edition). Recently they put on www.download.com an intro package for free that includes the 3 mentioned models AND also their Hiro 3.0. Granted, Hiro may not be their most popular model, but it lists for $30 (?) on Daz's site normally and it helps to build up one's library of figures. The download (about 70 Meg total) for Mac is here: http://www.download.com/Poser-DAZ-St...ml?tag=lst-0-1 OR You can simply go to www.download.com where you can enter DAZ as a keyword and pull up both windows and mac versions of the download. I hope some of you may find this helpful. - Walt FYI: I am not associated with DAZ in any way. It's just the site I happened to stumble across first in my foray into the 3D world... |

Yup, after I got Poser years back (believe it or not I bought my first Poser, version 2 at a now gone, local place called egghead software on sale), Daz was the first place I ended up for accessory "stuff", and all the Vicky babes. but I think since they got into all this new software..they have slowed down alot on original creations..maybe too many irons in the fire..since then I have data DVDs full of Poser stuff from there, renderosity, and all over the place..not CDs and have no clue what or where most of them came from anymore ![]() But hey I got Hex there for $1.99, and some good people here are helping me learn it |

Careful guys....they don't like talking about Poser and content in this neck of the woods nor do they allow pure content rendered images to be uploaded to the gallery. ![]() But you can try it at http://www.digitalpainters.net. |

Hi Ringo, I'm not sure I understand your comment... Isn't polyloop a place for discussion and news related to 3D software and art? Why would there be some animosity towards Poser and its models? And when you say they don't allow rendered images to be uploaded, do you mean they prefer .obj model files instead of just the final renders? I had no idea they didn't allow any display of final 3D art. Anyways, just some questions that popped into my mind when I read your comments... - Walt |

Ringo is right and wrong: Polyloop is dedicated about 3D creation and not premade content, but, for a lot of 3D users, it's not always easy to do everything. Then, premade content is allowed here, but we (me and all the moderators) prefer not seeing too much questions / renders -only- made by premade content. But I'm the one who moderated this post by Walt_Daz. If I was against the premade content, I never allowed this post. This message can interest a lot of users then, it have it's place here on Polyloop. For those of you who still don't know that, I'm working for e frontier, editor of Poser ;) I only think that their is enough website which are related to Poser, and we prefer focusing on helping users which want to do creations by themselves. Ringo, please, stop always doing these kind of comments. Thanks. |

OOOhhh! I would love to really comment LoneGunman.---lets just say beliefs and politics can get mixed up at times. Carl Desmond is back in circulation at last. 3DXtract would still be a nice combination with this site if Carl get enthused again.
