September 1-4 E-Frontier, the owners of Poser, are giving Poser 5 away for free, throught their content store. It's not the newest version, but it's not old either, the newest version is Poser 6, so this is a good deal.

I'm still using version 5, and haven't yet seen a reason to upgrade. This is by far the best giveaway bit of software around. Everyone should grab it... including myself, since I've already paid for it a few years ago :P

Holly smokes!! I finally got on. This does NOT look good. I've clicked on the "add to cart" button and have been waiting for about 5 minutes to get to the nest page!
If the files are 600MB (2 files) this could take a VERY LOOOOOOONG time in deed.
Hmmmm, do I really need poser that much??

I've tried 6 times sence last night, can't finish a download, cuts out at about 10%. used 3 different downloaders, didn't matter. At last report CP had crashed

Maybe a midnight download will work? Of course, I need to know who's midnight would result in the least traffic. I'm assuming U.S., no?

Don't worry about getting it downloaded. Just get it in your cart, check out, and wait for your e-mail download link, then set on it for a few days. As long as you have it to that point in the 4 days, you can download it any time.

CP is back up now, so take your time; everything is running sssllllloooooowwwww.

I managed to have it added to my Cart, and it says because of the high volume to try and download it later. Even I cant download it in 4 days its supposed to stay in my cart till I download it.

So the trick is make sure its in your cart within the 4 days.

Yup, sure enough, if ya go to the "view my space" tab on the left (at the CP site) poser will be there. Got the email that says poser will be there indefinately.

All you needed to do was to "buy" Poser 5.

Once you have it in your "My Stuff" purchase history, you are able to download it at any time.
