Hi all, I have eventually managed to dload both files. Can anyone please tell me how to install the second file (the Poser 5 SR4 Content CD Hero). Should it be imported into Poser 5 somehow to be able to use the content in Poser? How do I get the content of this file (Poser 5 SR4 Content CD Hero) into Poser? Thanks, yvan_c |

You want to unzip the Content CD stuff into a temporary folder. Then you can look for an index.htm file. It loads a "web page" which shows you the content. There are a bunch of zip files containing the content. I always recommend creating a temporary folder, and then unzipping into that temporary folder. That way you can see just how everything is arranged. Or, if you're a "Poser Newbie," you can just unzip those files into the folder that contains Poser. (Ex: Program Files/Curious Labs/Poser 5. I created a whole series of Poser 5 tutes just for newbies. (A free forum membership is required.) Here is the direct link for the Poser 5 tutes. http://www.ronknights.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=30 |

Thanks man, I did however figure it out when I had a look at the tutorials on on the e-frontier site. All I basically had to do is to click on download in each case which then automatically unzipped the particular runtinme folder, which I then copied to the Poser (downloads) runtime folder. Worked for me. I am a newbie to Poser & will definitely join your forum as suggested, although I have been using (up until now) DAZ Studio (in the absence of Poser) together with Bryce, Hex & Carrara 5 pro. It seems to me that I have no need for DAZ Studio (now that I have Poser 5). It is already clear to me that Poser is more versatile than Daz Studio. Regards, yvan_c |
