We will be making a very important announcement on April 25. In preparation for this announcement, there will be some changes made to the Eovia website and webstore. These changes will begin to take effect at midnight California time on April 24.

Someone on the Daz forum suggested a buyout by Apple. I really hope this is not the case. I was burned with Logic Audio when Apple bought Emagic and overnight dumped all PC users. An offer of $500 off a Mac was no recompense for the investment :mad:.

I have nothing against Macs but I have far too much invested in PC software to switch platforms. I really love Carrara and Hex and would hate to have to change to something else.

I'd prefer that the announcement be about something like developing Carrara further just like what they did with Hexagon. I hope it's not about extending relationships with companies to develop plugins and all sorts of extensions to Carrara. I want a complete package and not too dependent on third party plugins.

I'm not sure how I would react if it was a buyout. If it was Apple, and they decided to stop supporting the PC market I would be disappointed, but I would probably buy a mac mini and move on. BootCamp would make things a little easier. It would still suck.

I prefer to think that whatever is announced it will have a positive impact on all of us.

Great, now I have to be anxious for 2 days...

Is it possible we are reading to much into this? Carrara 5 availability was announced on Tuesday. Maybe this is just the annoincing of Hex 2...
