Thomas, if I buy the upgrade for 5 now, and I receive the beta, will the "native poser import" work now? It is the single best thing for me, and I hope that it will be coming soon! Does carrara import hexagon files?
Thanks,
Jarrett
ps I am a hexagon and carrara 4 standard user.

And you can pose the figures and use morphs? I am really looking forward to it, just wondering what kind of capabilities it has right now.

Hello everyone!

I'm quite new here and even still a newbie in Carrara. One year ago I bought C4 and was not sure about the model capabilities, especially when polygone modelling felt strange after CAD training from university. Now with C5 all doubt is gone!!! Just upgrade!

Pict is from one of my first model when I tested the C4 demo (idea from e-frontier's Shade gallery)

Here what you can do with C5 poser native import. The native poser comes with morphs, poses, conforming clothing.
So inside C5 you can do Pose 2 Pose animation. Just pose character move in the timeline and pick another pose C5 does the rest.

Awesome! That's just what my online comic needs. Now if that guy will finish up that fancy terrain plug-in for carrara, we will be in business!

Hi, this is my first post post in this forum and I am a relatively new user of Carrara (I bought C4Pro within a month of buying C3, and looks I will buy C5Pro within 5 months of buying C4Pro).

C5Pro is almost everything I have wanted in a 3D app.

But I do have a question about Poser import. Does C5 allow you to swap left and right symmetry, like in Poser 5?

Can someone with v5beta post a few pics of the native poser aspect? Like the posing and morph controls?
Thanks,
Jarrett

Native Poser import into Carrara 5
Loaded a Poser CR2 file it brings the morphs and rig.
Added comforming clothing inside C5.
