Hex 2.5 is a bust for me, they ruined the sub-d shortcut, which was an excellent time saver. It also doesn't seem any better in any other tangible way that I could gather, except I now have this tab at the top of my window taunting me with it's irrelevance. If this is the last bug fix upgrade Hex gets before I have to pay, I will be very displeased. Hex still isn't fixed two years on, and apparently even this "patch" is only available for a short time to existing owners. Daz are extremely focussed on pleasing the content people at the moment. Hopefully, they will stop pandering to the Poserites and start actually making their software better, and less buggy, soon. Apart form the point order bug getting Poser users knickers twisted, 2.2 was a step in the right direction. This is a step back. |

Page up / page down doesn't work anymore ? But you know, DAZ business is content business. Even if I'm unhappy with what they did with Hexagon and what we wanted to do with it for its final purpose (I will tell you one day...), I perfectly understand where DAZ is going with it and I can't blame them. It's a company which is here to do business and I think they have a lot more users in the content business than modeling business... |

![]() For those who don't want the second life tab intruding into their personal zone, you can edit it out or hide it ... see here. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=1206639#1206639 Last edited by tonytrout; 31st March 2008 at 19:34. | |

The second life stuff will be great for some (and I agree it makes hex more entrenched in the content scene which isn't really an issue) but not for the poor bastards who have been with hex for two plus years and are still having issues. It's just a shame they broke hex (again) in the process. I was wiling to cut them some slack to begin with, when the unfortunate hex 2 release turned out to be a dud, but there's really no excuse after two years. I'm going okay with hex 2.2, so it's not all bad, but it's just a shame to see a program with such potential mired with such mediocre development. |
