Thank for posting Thomas, I had to quit visiting the Zbrush Forums, as it was too depressing.

So are you (going to be) a Beta tester Thomas?? how about you Boozie?
Registered/Expert/Interested, I would think both of you would fall into that category.

It's the same for me : PPC Mac so I can only use (or try to...) the ZB2 version. But it's a good new to see Macs are still of some interest for developpers .Thank you Thomas.

I dont want to start any mac-pc stuff, but it seems to me that pcs are getting so cheap these days, and zbrush is such fantastic software.why would you want to wait for the mac version, or at least use a pc until the mac versions out? Theres some other fantastic softs like mudbrush I think only available on pc too.

I think gone are the days when anyone who's interested in CG only has one computer. They are such a commodity now that the flash one I bought 3 years ago is surpassed by even a lowend model today by the increased rendering power alone. I can also probably buy a second hand one on Trade Me thats just as good as my current machine for less than a few hundred dollars that will run zbrush fine. I cant remember what I paid for zbrush but it was lots more than that.

Just voicing a faintly puzzled question here so please dont shoot me

That's why I have both a PC and a Mac.. but hell my MacBookpro is so expensive, even if it's the best computer I ever had!

Damn, too late !

Don't try to arg or talk to Apple fan boys, specially don't tell them to buy a PC...

... Oh my God, I can hear them coming in this thread... i can see the future, a lot of stupid arguments next to the word "Microsoft" (be carefull, some may replace the "s" with $)...

But you're rigth, PC become cheaper everyday, and there is a lot of excelent software.
Mac become also cheaper (less), and there is also a lot of excelent software.
Also, Mac (Intel) can run a PC, and if i'm right Pixologic offer the right to Mac user to use the PC version, and then change to the Mac version when it's gong to be ready.
