That's "their" price, what's "our" price?

The "Polyloop special offer" one?

We're generally a poor lot, not $1.99 poor, but close.

I would say not much less than 60 $ for an uv editor ..and not far from 100 $ for the best..(unfold3d) .That's my final offer.
I think we are all too far from the reality of uv editing HELL at large scale . I still have my 10 fingers to move a vertex where it should go.
Sorry for my english

Modo UV is relatively simple and powerful. I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Yeah, I have to agree that it is way to pricey for just a unwrap tool. I do own an old version 4 of the program and I have to admit it is the best automatic unwrap tool out there. I use it alot for just doing the "grunt" work of unwrapping. Cleanup is always needed, but for someone like me that creates so much content every week... it really does cut down on time.

If they come down on price, I am for sure upgrading to the new version.

Hiya.

Yeah, if they knocked the price down to, oh, 1/10th of what they're asking, they'd open themselves up to the tens of thousands of "hobbiest" gamer-creators and 3d artists. But they probably don't want to deal with a lot of 'newbie' type questions every day...I guess they like the stress of dealing with large companies/freelance-pro's that expect actual results and replies on a personal basis. *shrug*

That is way out of my price range. Do you take children as a down payment?

Newborns, perhaps. But past the toddler stage, they just become untrainable... I think this program is a bit overpriced. But damn, it can unwrap 300,000+ messy polygons from a CAD mesh. That is freaking amazing! I would be able to unwrap my heavy Rhino models, which Modo can not handle so easily... So i will keep my eye open for a discount offer, as all 3D software does at one time or other...

shorty

Tell me about it Shorty, I have two in college and the third heading that way. Three little Dictators without any money. They never told me that this would happen in parenting 101.
