Modo 301 update

copied from luxology site...

Hello modo users worldwide,

A free service update to modo 301 has just been made available to all registered modo users.

The modo 301 “dot” release will work with your existing license (Mac and PC) and is available for download from your Luxology account.

Some improvements in this service update are:

>Improved network rendering so that buckets are assigned only to slaves who have proven they can communicate with the master and which have successfully loaded the scene.

>Improved performance when saving LWO files with many surfaces.

>Eliminated pause after sculpting a high poly mesh with symmetry on.

>Fixed a bug in object-to-object baking of render outputs in which the shading was using the UV coordinates from the low poly object instead of the UVs from the high poly object.

A more detailed list of what is in the 301 service update can be found in the Support section of the Luxology website here.

Please feel free to download this software from your Luxology account at your convenience.

I saw that too and then thought I'd wait on the update... They have very low bandwidth and I'm not too keen on using shareware bittorrent.

I'll wait a few days.. A 30-40 mb patch would be nicer I think.

modo301 release was a killer to download; ultra slow to download; very slow even with bittorent for me (compared to what I am used too).

I have DSL 1.5 speed and I downloaded this new modo update in about an hour and a half. I was pleased that the update flew to my desktop so fast. Bittorrent is not needed it downloads so well.

No need to wait to download as the traffic to download is not bad at all. Unless there is all of sudden a mad rush today!

Peace,
Stan

The update was real quick to dl for me. Don't forget that the Gigs of content and tutes don't have to be downloaded again, saving considerable bandwith.

In my case, I was able to download this update by using bitComet in 22 minutes in daytime yesterday (Oct. 6).
