[Commercial] Modo 103 onsale at Daz - Polyloop

Hi, I'm new to 3D so I would like to know if this is something I should get? I have Hexagon2 and Wings and the modelers in Carrara 5 pro. Is this easier and does it's texturing and uv tools easier to use than those of Hex2 and Carrara5? Any thoughts on the subject would be welcome.

From Luxology customer support:
You can get the upgrade from modo 103 to 301 for $295 but there is a trick to it.

After you register your v103 wait a day or until you see the upgrade option directly to 301. You have to be logged in and the offer will eventually show up. The problem is that the Luxology database needs to refresh to post the new information and I guess it could take a couple of days. If the upgrate from 103 to 301 does not appear then I would call Luxology. The Luxology rep told me that the $295 deal is actually a mistake and for some reason they can't change it.

So if you bought modo 103 from DAZ and you are after modo 301 slow down and wait before you jump on modo 203. I really did not want modo 203 but I ended up getting it out of not being aware of any of this.

I got a great deal but lost a hundred dollars because of this. I hope this helps anyone else that wants modo 301 save a hundred more bucks.

Your statement is not accurate. I just called Immanuel at Luxology to get the scoop down solid on this and verify your post. I even read your post to him so the information below is 100% accurate.

1) You can upgrade from modo 103 directly to modo 301 for $295. Wait for the $295 option to appear on the Luxology website (it may take a day or two). Make sure you have logged in and that you can see the $295 upgrade option. If not call Luxology (Weird thing, they have answered all my calls on the first ring. Never seen anything so efficient)

2) Checked and triple checked. You can upgrade from modo 103 to modo 203 for $395 in the interim and still get modo 301 at no cost. I know because I did it and it cost me a hundred bucks more. Also modo 203 has already been installed on my system and shipped without a hitch.

So if you bought modo 103 from DAZ and you are after modo 301 slow down and wait before you jump on modo 203. I really did not want modo 203 but I ended up getting it out of not being aware of any of this. REMEMBER THAT THE $295 OPTION MAY TAKE A DAY OR TWO to show up on the Luxology website.

I got a great deal but lost a hundred dollars because of this. I hope this helps anyone else that wants modo 301 save a hundred more bucks.

$295 is the preorder price. You have to register your purchase of 103 with Luxology. Then wait a day or so, until the "Buy Now" page displays the pre-order option for 301...

Man, i bought Modo for $650 and i thought i got a good deal. But this is just insane

. Will be nice to have more Modo activity around here...

There was a lot of confusion about this deal and I noticed a post by transient in one of these modo 301 deal threads and it mentioned $295.

I registered v103 from DAZ at Luxology and never remember seeing upgrade options for $295 to v301. All I saw was a upgrade deal to v203 for $395 and v301 for free. I looked again and could not find the $295 deal at luxology although there is some orange text on the 'buy now page' that refers to pre-ordering from 10X or 20X versions to 301 and that the options should appear if your are a registered Luxology user and logged in. There resides the confusion. It can take a while for the upgrade option for 301 to appear in the database and on the web page. If it does not appear call Luxology and request to order the v301 upgrade over the phone.

Luxology always answers on the first ring (so far,

). They are really amazing me. But, damn, I could have saved $100 more if I could have known this stuff. Still, ULTRA, super deal! I hope you can do even better.

I just preordered Modo301 minutes ago for $295 via DAZ's offer of 103 for $139.30, which I grabbed yesterday. If you want you can upgrade to 203 and get it now, and then 301 for free when it's release, except that it would cost you an extra $100.

I am just confirming what has been said here already. This to me is an offer I can't pass up.

So now I am waiting for my C6 and Modo 301.
