| Always learning new stuff ![]() | Good bye e frontier, Good bye Amapi... Hi all, Just a message to let you know that today was my last day at e frontier. It's the same for all the french team. For various reasons that I can't explain here, the company decided to close our branch. I can just say you that the problem doesn't come from us . But you can imagine that it was a big surprise for us...Then, by this news, it also mean that we (the Amapi Dev'Team), won't be able to release Amapi. We don't know what will happen to the product in the futur, but without the developpers... Now, I'm / we are looking for a new job, we will see what the futur will have for all of us. And about Polyloop, it won't change anything, it's still our (all of you an me ) forum.Good bye e frontier, good bye Amapi (11 years of my life...) PS: Kudos to Pascal, Maxime, Mickael, Xavier Chrystèle & Elodie - Loïc & Thomas S.! PPS: Thanks to all the e frontier team and nothing against them, thanks! |

| proud to be a nurb ![]() | That is terrible news, Thomas. My concern i not for Amapi, but for all the Amapi team who work so hard on the project. It's never fun to be cast out and start from zero again. Best of luck to all of you...jonah (shorty) PS - This feels like 2006 all over again... Last edited by jbshorty : 31st July 2007 at 14:56. |

| Extrusion ![]() | Very sad stuff indeed... You guys are so talented, I would team together and start your own software company! I'm sure it would be great. I know I would support you guys in any way I could. Its been great these years working with your team on different projects. Best wishes to all of you and your families. |

| Illustrator ![]() | WHAT? Can't believe it… Amapi 8 looked very promising so far. What's going on there? I'm sorry, Thomas. Gotta hurt… you spent a lot of time into that project, I guess. I'm really sorry… Well, you've got a bright future ahead anyways. Good luck with those new opportunities coming up. |

| Doodlin' Dude ![]() | Sounds like eFrontier has some wires crossed. Sorry to hear it... I think you know my admiration for your creative efforts - that is where the gold is (in your talent). A company does not own that. Anything to do with the advent of Serigraph?... I mean like getting a team to make a product and then dumping them when it's ready (if that's the case) for showtime. Can't think much of a company that treats their people like that. I've been there - it sucks - and it isn't your fault. Weird, in any case! ![]() |

| Extrusion ![]() | Good luck to all of you guys. You got me going on what I hope will be my future job. I'm sure with your talent you won't find it hard to find somewhere new. We expect to see great things in the future. One thing, does that mean that Amapi is now over?

| Pixar want to hire me! ![]() | I am really sorry you guys have to go through this. Your hard work is spread through Hexagon, Amapi, and Carrara, now. It doesn't seem fair not to be a part of it anymore. Just wanted to let you know that you are all appreciated very much, as are the tools and knowledge you have given us. I hope you land on your feet, and find another way to use your talent and creativity. |
