Everyone is utterly disappointed here, but as we don't know why it did happened, there is nothing or noone to blame, but maybe Fate....

Really sad to hear Good luck finding new work Thomas and the rest of the dev team.

I was considering Amapi as a future purchase but now I will hold off. but but noe It is probably one of the best modelling programs out there but is just unrecognised.

I'm just a lurker that has benefitted quite a bit from the discussions and advice going on here, and I am adding my best wishes for Thomas. I know that everything will work out right.

It's not fate, it's as was stated in BigFoot's post - it was for overhead (aka financial) reasons...

Wasn't there a promotion for Amapi 7.5 recently? What's up with this corporation? - Make a big sale and then dump the company/engineers?

It'll be interesting to see if they do try and sell Amapi 8 how many sales they'll get after this - not much incentive IMO!

I've never seen crap like this until I bought into Hexagon & Carrara!

I can't say much more here without the post being deleted cause frankly I'm disgusted...

Sorry to hear about this.

You seemed so happy and excited about the future of Amapi 8 and it seemed to certainly be moving in the right direction.

I hope all that will be well with you in your future career.
You've always been very helpful and a very straight and honest person which is unfortunately not as common in business as it should be.

Too bad about Amapi 8. I was keeping my eye on the potential of this release.

Good luck.

I'm not a sentimental person, but there's just no other way to describe it other than to say I fell in love with Hexagon. I didn't even like Carrara. The Eovia Hex+Car bundle was just too good to pass up. Before that I discovered Polyloop which was Eovia.net back then. I fell in love again with Thomas' video tutorials particularly the Nierd and the Fairy head. I painstakingly followed how he does it switching back and forth between Hex and vid. That was the beginning for me with Polyloop. It was the deciding factor in also buying Carrara not just Hex. I just don't know how much money Eovia made because of this site.

This is a terrible news. I can't believe this action was taken by the e frontier. You guys were so close to release this product. A lot of people were eagerly waiting for the release date. I hope it wasn't because of the push from the consumers to be, wanting release of the software now, that caused the corporation to take this action.

With your talent I have no doubt you'll make a success somewhere else.

Best Regards to you and your team-mates.

Wow!....WOW!...wow.....

I am sorry about the news Thomas. You and the dev team have made two really good programs. I wish you the best for the future. Hey yes, maybe your own baby like "moi?"

you projected great products like Hexagon and amapi : in particular Hexagon is very cool and intuitive ! in my opinion you should search into a company like NewTek or Luxology they highly need good ideas and programmers!

Maybe Next limit should consider this oportunity..they do not have an editor (a true one) and because the Maxwell'Studio is a real pity (the list of the missing features would be too long)
Spain is not so far from bordeaux.

A great oportunity for Next Limit.

The Old Raydream Express keeps on chugging

I climbed on board back in '94 with Raydream Studio. It seems every two or three years a major upheaval rocks the community. You get used to one arrangement and then everything goes out the window.

I wish the team luck and hope I cross paths with some of your products again sometime.

Ringo? As far I know Ringo has never EVER been part of Amapi/Eovia team, or E-frontier/Poser or otherwise. And never a programmer?

If he does anything it's as salesman for Daz only it would seem.

This site is owned by Thomas-(of the Eovia.France team (Amapi/Hexagon)).
