| Moderator ![]() | I'd like to be able to do reviews for the blog Thomas. I go over allot of materials and programs. I just recieved the digital tutors Z3 basic DVD nad am watching it now. I have the Meats Z2 Intro but his teaching style kind of wandered around allot for my taste and had to much focus on the illustration aspects of Z. The digital tutors instructor seems more to the point of getting what you need to know on screen. |

| Box modeling ![]() | I'm getting more and more interested in using Zbrush (famous for organic modeling) when it comes to non-organic models. Meats Meier's sample images are hard to ignore. And the rendering.... it closely resembles my taste, the shiny very reflective theme. The level of details is just astounding. And it's about time treating Zbrush not only capable of sculpting organically, but mechanically. (Zbrush's major drawback, though, is that there seems to be no clear definition of space. There is no camera to move around the usual world space most 3d apps have. I have no idea how units are measured to establish proportion.) Last edited by Sketchy : 23rd June 2007 at 19:55. |

| Misinterpreted signal ![]() | Who or what is Meat? Where tutors are placed? I had one ZBrush 2 tutor from Gnomon, and, to be honest, I deeply dislike it. Lot of strokes without explanation. Whatch the engine to get the principles of combustion.

| Misinterpreted signal ![]() | Two days ago I got it also, mostly because of new v3 topology features. Found lot of useful info in other areas even after watching some tutors before (from digitaltutors, free tutors).
