DXF and dwg imports in Carrara pro

I'm a french architect, currently working on Autocad (ACAD2007)
I don't have the possiblity to export in 3DS anymore, that 's too bad.

And I find no way to import dxf or dwg files in C5 pro, whatever version , and when I do so, I happen to find the file name but just 1 ,dot in the carrara scene and no possiblity to work or visualize it.

Has anyone faced this problem.
I tried, dxf 14, dxf 200, DXF 2004, and same for dwg!! and no result.

I tried to do just the same and imported dxf and dwg files in Hexagon, stil no result!!

It's to bad to have to develop my project in Autocad and to have to RE-do the 3D work in Hexagon (and by he way with amapi pro....)

Do the Help pages 174/5 not have answers?

There is another current thread relating to dxf problems.
