As a follow up. As I read things you can get your 3D file (of selected types) into PS3, paint on them, produce an 3Dpdf file and take that into After Effects etc?

I really hope Corel will follow this progress. Corel has always been in the rearview mirror to Adobe, and tends to pick up some of the traits in one or two releases at a hell of a lot less of a price. I'll have to keep my eye on the Corel website and see what happens.

I love Adobe products and think they are best available IMHO. I use Adobe product all day long every single day, however, I also own Corel products too.

I think Corel's graphics suite is the best value on the market dollar for dollar and nothing is quite like Painter. Also Corel includes loads of valuable extras like entire font libraries. Corel makes it almost worth it to buy their graphics suite just for the extras alone. Corel rocks and I am glad they are around.

Me too. Sad they sold to the US. Seems all good Canadian companies are selling to the states. Even the most ancient company, our heritage, the Hudson Bay company. I guess it's just a matter of time before Canada becomes the 51st state.

I have a question - do you think this new 3d feature will allow you to create better images or allow greater creativity as a 3d artist?

More importantly will cs3 allow for better texture creation and post production techniques?

Watch the videos and contemplate the potentials.

(Don't download yet--the programme has a few bugs to be fixed.)

Thanks bwtr - so this is an additional plugin rather than a native feature that will come with cs3? As you say the forum suggests that it is buggy.

Nothing about the demo marked it out as a must have application for me but then again it's often the artists that sell a product better than the company themselves.

It's a plugin forCS2 and before. I would presume that all or similar is in CS3Extended.

Poser has made a big deal about offering a FREE plugin for PhotoshopCS3Extended which is only for Poser7!

I was almost tempted to pay for the update to 7 until I looked at the end results of these "special" CS3 plugin file results to see that they are only .obj files!!!!?????

Ain't life interesting!
