| Spline ![]() | I'm trying to figure out Modo. It's not an easy program to learn at all. It seems the more I learn, the more difficult it becomes. ![]() So before I go off and try and do what I've been trying to do for the 1000th time, I thought I'd ask on here to make sure that it's even possible. First: I create 2 spheres that are part of a single mesh and then I attempt to apply a displacement map to each sphere and sculpt them. But for some reason it insists on using just one of the displacement maps for both spheres. So as I sculpt a line on one sphere it also appears on the 2nd sphere which results in me throwing my mouse across the room. Is it actually possible to give each sphere its own displacement map if they're part of the same mesh?.Second: Same again, I create 2 spheres as above and this time I want to bake the texture of each sphere seperately. Is that possible? Or do I have to create two totally seperate meshes?. The reason why I'm not wanting to create two totally seperate meshes is that painting on two seperate objects is quite awkward because it means having to select the object AND its image map everytime I wish to switch from one object to another, rather than just being able to freely paint on both objects like in Bodypaint. Anybody ? |

| Cube ![]() | On your first question I think you need two independent UV maps. As I read it you have two spheres sharing one map.On your second question, I don't really know since I haven't baked in Modo, but maybe two independent UV maps is the answer here as well? Hth, Wim |
