Yup, that's part of buying a 3d app nowadays, Syuichi. At least in Japan the dollar is cheap. Gone are the days when you could do it on your own by merely reading the manual. That's why I still believe that modo won't be the last modern app that will appear before the end of the world. Direct manipulation ala SketchUp or something easier will suddenly appear one of these days. All you need is to focus on art. Too complicated workflows will be a thing of the past. But that's still a long way off. Meanwhile, we'll have to settle for what is available.

Sketchy, thank you for your comment.
I’m with you.

I think that for mastering 3d app fully we need some investment.

That's true. If you're really serious, that investment will comeback tenfold, be it personal fulfillment, career, entertainment, sharing the knowledge. I've finally completed the Wristwatch tut. Learning modo is becoming fun at this stage now. It covered most of the base features one needs to start doing a project. Impatience is the enemy.

Exactly!

The most necessary one for me now is PATIENCE exactly.
I didn’t master any programs until now because of lack of patience.
Your comment is very much to the point.

Thanks, sketchy.

Just ordered. Did I say thanks?

Peace,

I just ordered mine too. The basic 301 stuff i've got down pretty well already. But i am a total animation noobie, could definitely use some help learning basic principles. So far I made a few simple 301 animations just by experimenting (morphs, blending shaders, exploding assemblies, camera movements) but i feel a little guidance is necessary to fully realize the potential of the toolset. Too bad i will be traveling overseas when my copy arrives... But something to look forward to when i return home

I got my copy a few days ago and have finally started to use modo - how is everyone else getting along ?

I've mainly just sat and watched with the intention of going back and working my way through the lessons. I've had several "of course that's how it works" moments while watching. £50 well spent !

I finally also got my copy a few days ago.
As English is not my native language, it’s not easy for me to understand fully what Dan is explaining.

However, I am now striving to master modo through this courseware.
