| I just began using Silo Beta 2b, and am the first to say that I don't have a clue on how to set it up the best way. I toyed with Silo 1.4 and jumped on the 2 betas as soon as they showed up.This is my screen... I'm still trying to build buttons I use and keyboard shortcuts. Soon as that is done I plan to close most of the windows I have open. Was hoping that others would post their beta 2 workspaces so we can get some ideas. |

Nate my advice is to stay clear of the v2 Beta untill they've ironed things out and got it into a more friendly considered interface. At he moment the beta is only in a state fit for old timers and die hards as well as still having too many bugs.

Thats funny. Teyon seems to have nothing to do then: http://forums.polyloop.net/3d-work-p...tml#post115668 I don't agree. The point of a public beta is for all to participate. And if you own it you should. NC listens to the users and your feedback shapes the program, and perhaps will change something you desire.

Perhaps I have been spoilt, but the beta releases for the"average" bloke are those like we had for Carrara 5, the Adobe CS3 beta and the whole swag of Windows apps that are Adobe competitive and soon to have formal release. You don't have to be an expert (computing (nerd)?) to work out how to use them! No help files really drive me up the wall! |

I'm in a boat similar to Nate's: just finding my way around, though he's a braver soul than I. I'm sticking with 1.4. The last thing I need right now is an interface that's shifting beneath my feet! Sorry about the mixed metaphors....
