Puke Smoothing groups.

Does Hexagon 2.0 support smoothing groups? How can achieve effect of a hard edge without applying subdivision? I just want plain low-polygonal model to have hard edges in some places. This is usually achieved with smoothing groups in applications like 3dsmax.

There is a creasing option under the smooth tool. There is even a little demonstration on the Eovia website
http://www.eovia.com/products/hexagon/hexagon2.asp

Probably the most overlooked but one of the most usefull new options in H2

A have similar problems with Hex 2. Now the best way to achieve hard edges is to adjust them in application where you plan to render your model. Carrara 5 supports this function and i still wondering why Hexagon does not.

creasing

Like I say you can do it in H2 but often overlooked - smooth tool > break property

Is not easy to find but good to use. Less polys for edges and works well with C5

enjoy

Actually I'm not talking about subdivision creases. I'm talking about low-poly creases. I want crease to appear without polygon tesselation. I think _Spectre understood me right. However, I think that Xegagon 2 has the ability to work with such things for sure, because when U create a box, it has hard edges, but when U create a sphere for example, its edges are all smoothed. The problem is that I can see no user interface to define hard edges.

Hexagon 2 have some predefined smoothing angle and you can't adjust it like in Carrara.
