| Ring doesn't work on faces?
Why Ring doesn't work on faces (only does in edges) like Loop does? Is a bit frustrating, everytime I want to do a faces ring I need to select first edges and then transform to faces, what's the problem to implement this? if loop makes a selection over a direction, then ring does in the perpendicular one. Mmm, its maybe a bug? Bye! |

I do not believe it's a bug. From topology standpoint, face can belong to more then one ring, how is modeling app suppose to choose it for you then ? ![]() Bye

Sorry, I got a mistaken idea about how loop and ring works, I was thinking that loop does the work horizontally and ring does vertically. The fact that loop can work over faces confused me. In some 3D apps, like 3DSMax, loop and ring can only applied to edges, I suppose that is a more restrictive rule, but it helps with not get confused about that. Thanks and sorry again for the silly question. |

yes or you can choose only a single face ,press L and see the result ,and press L again to constrain the loop in the other way (I ensure you that I was doing as Patrick does but since I've discoverd that feature ..(which is in the doc)..things are differents )
