| Displacement map issues.
I am trying to use Hexagon displacement maps in Cinema4d, but ran into the following issue: As you can see, the displacement map shows seams along the uv borders. ZBrush has a feature that fixes this upon export of a displacement map. It lets the displacement map go slighty past the uv borders. Is there are similar feature in Hexagon? The manual does not list anything. Another issue is that the anti aliasing on the exported displacement maps are horrible, which may also partly explain the seam issue. |

I've got a small one page tip on handling that with Photoshop here: http://www.eovia3d.net/showthread.php?t=7535 It is not really apparent when I used the same mesh/maps with Carrara, but in C4D I got similar results. |

Thanks for the suggestion Grendel. The result after ps editing is better, but it's still difficult to smoothen the surface completely. I had the seams located in the same place as your pdf example. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I'm really loving the workflow and gui of Hexagon (way better than zbrush imo). |
