| Texture Painting
Quick question, I tried to ask it in the toon chicken thread but I'll ask here to get an answer. I haven't bought Hex 2 yet so please, help me out. Is the texture painting tool they show in the vids actual able to create 'new' textures? Such as, can I take an untextured model and texture it by painting new colors on it. Or is it just a 'reveal' textures that currently exist type of tool? Any one follow Luxology's Modo 201 vids? They have true painting on the model. Is this similar in Hex 2? Thanks! Azeiku |

Hi Azeiku ![]() Well ..both..for now you can make a new map and do the map in hxn2..absolutely now..for the "images" texture ..it is for the present version 2.0 a reveal texture . but using colors + alphas (dots or free hand) works pretty well I've seen modo201 video..no open gl micro displacement modeling (should it seems ??) but some very nice painting and rendering features indeed. |
