Hi ![]() It depends a lot of your problem.. But generally I think you should try vbo ,enabled/disabled and local redraw and maybe disable antialias and try to reset other settings to normal (just click on the little arrows on the left of each settings) . Have you tried ? for my part,in example ,display list doesn't fit to my PC. I don't think that you must tune your vga card own profile ,this can be done in special circumstances |

I use the non-official alternative ATI drivers from the Omega website. They used the official drivers and optimized them for games. Whatever the problem is (my ATI 9000 is working fine), this might do the trick for you ??? http://www.omegadrivers.net/main.php |

Good one! Thanks both of you. What I noticed was that at home, my 9800 pro 128 mb with 2gb ram, on a 3800x2 was having slght problems. At work, the 9800 xt with 256 mb is nearly flawless, except delay issues, that can most assuredly be attributed to memory and card speed. Looks like its time to upgrade people! Ive been putting it off, but an 850 xt, 7800 gt, or 1900xt are looking pretty good right now.

I own a 9800 pro (128 Mb), and it's a great performer with other 3D packages, I think that new problems with Hexagon 2 is more suitable to graphic card memory issues In another hand, I guess that a DirectX mode should be fastest, at least, less buggy, than OpenGL. OpenGL is a fantastic graphic API (easiest to programm too), multiplatform, needed in the Hexagon case, to develop MAC and PC versions. You are able to find similar problems in games, Doom III or Quake IV get more issues from different GFX card configurations that any other DirectX game. Anyway except for some freezes (supposed to be bugs to be solved) I get a great perfomance in Hexagon 2 with my 9800 Pro, but, yes, maybe getting 256 of memory graphic card could help a lot, specially with painting tool. Best regards. EDITED: For owners of ATI cards I suggest the use of Radlinker, a great tool, to overclock and tweak some OpenGL parameters, specially Fast Z Clear and Hierarchical Z, that should set to Enabled. |
