Graphic card to run Hex 2 smoothly

Hello!

My ATI Radeon 7000 is too old and too weak to support Hex 2 OGL and working only in wireframe in Hex 2 is missing all the cool stuff ...

I could get an MSI X700 pro (ATI) with 128 MB GDDR3 quite quickly - is this good enough to work in Hex 2 smoothly (high res, complex models)?

Thank you for your help!

X700 is much better than your older card, now the much better card you got the much comfortable you will be with Hex 2
Displacement and painting tools of Hex 2 need robust graphics cards...
Also remember that, the more texture you use the more RAM (GPU) you need!
Depend a lot of your use...

Hi - Thank you for the info!
I payed for the new card, but when I got home I discovered they had given me a box where they had taken out the card to display it in a vitrine...
So on Tuesday I'll have to visit the shop again to get my card ....

I have the Radeon 9600------You MUST keep getting the updates though.
Then Hex2 works ok IF! you have your screen set at 32 colour bits thinghy.

Try the Omega drivers for ATI. They are official drivers but optimized for games.
Search google for Omega drivers to find the links. Perhaps that will work?
