Took about 8 mins to connect and 1 hr to download on a 2Mb broadband cable connection. however, my Zip file was corrupt the first time so had to repeat it

Still got it all now, burned safely to backup and having great fun playing.

Finally my download link started working, I'm getting about 30 KBps from the server, which is a 3 hour download. Hopefully this means the server load is starting to ease up.

I went to the DAZ site to see if this is true, and it is! Talk about a slap in the face for loyal Hexagon users! ...Absolutely disgusting! If this is typical of the people who run DAZ, it doesn't bode well for Eovia.

While it may feel like a slap in the face for long time established users, think of the benefits of this promotion. The user base of Hexagon will explode and that can only be a good thing, right?

I am not sure about it being a good thing, true it does put it in the hands of everybody but I don't think it is a "good" thing to possibly try jump a little solid learning by a slew of new "modelers"....Subdivisionmodeling.com is a modeling environment as well, and it has alot of useful information and theory for new modelers....

Rome hasn't been built in one day, as we say it in France.

Just wait a little while Hex is establishing among DAZ users. We are only day 2 for the downloads. ...

If this special deal is going on for a month why is everyone so hot to jump on it right now? I'm giving it a week, then I'll get it.

Arrow MAC Users use a good download tool and make their life easier!

I used speeddownload on my mac, and it starts out slow, but if the transfer is interrupted, the tool continues where it lost the connection and you do not have to start all over again.

By the way.. right now it's pretty fast...

On the Windows PC I usually use Total Commander from http://www.ghisler.com/

I hope this helps ;-))

Do you have to supply credit card info at DAZ even if you preordered?
