Just so you know, I'm not a complete dummy when it comes to 3D.

I've checked the channel- it's active. (the brush channel, I assume you're talking about)

The model doesn't have any maps, only UVs. It loads in with the standard Hex 2 material attached. The UVs were laid out in XSI. Nothing too special... the UVs work fine in Unwrap3D, and Zbrush.

That's okay schuubars, it's Piem who's driving me nuts :P

Piem- I've had an image on the material from the beginning. I doesn't work. Thanks for the offer to help, but solving this isn't as simple as that.

I would, but it's a model bound by an NDA. I'll see if I can find another which causes me trouble tomorrow. Right now though, it's my bedtime ;)

a simple one would do it. :D

i tought first it might be a problem with XSI's exporter(has sometimes problems), but you mentioned aswell Zbrush and 3dunwrap....so xsi is not the problem. *g*
