how to speed up downloading:pre-orderers take note!

If you pre-ordered a copy of hexagon 2 you may have gotten your link already. You may have noticed you can go into the DAZ store and buy another copy of Hex2 for $1.99. If you will purchase, but not download it yet, your serial and downloads limits will remain in place. Let the people using the store as their only method of getting the file go ahead. You don't need to download it at all (I think) since the serial in the daz account should(I think) activate from your element download as well. The pre-orders will probably get downloaded long before the store goes to a normal level. I, for one, am going to resist the urge to download it now, in an effort to relieve the stress in the element servers.
I will try sometime this afternoon. Anybody who can stand to wait, please do. I believe that if fewer people are trying to dl it at one time, then completion of everyones downloads will actually be much quicker. This seems to be the only place that the ball has been dropped on this excellent deal. But isnt it amazing how much the anti daz anti merger chatter has died off?
Thanks DAZ!

This is ridiculous, I'm not going to spend $1.99 (can't use voucher) just to get a solid download. I can't even get anywhere from my links in my email yet, it times out every time. They need to add more servers, one server isn't enough for files of this size.

They have a lot of servers, in fact, Hexagon PC and Mac versions are on different servers each one.

As I said on another post they should be planned these issues and maybe use alternative (and more innovative) methods, like bittorrent downloads, Luxology will use it on their downloads services. Nero uses too for its burning software.

Best regards.

mikeha, you misunderstand, for $1.99 you can get ANOTHER license of Hexagon, some pre-orderers are getting both, but trying to dl the DAZ version since the element servers are clogged. The DAZ servers are clogged too. So its not $1.99 to get a solid download, i started and it told me 9 hours to dl, so I just decided to wait it out. Well, this delay is nothing extraordinary, and to be expected when a product is this highly anticipated.

...OK, let me get this straight

-I've been with Hex since the begining.
-I pre-ordered HEX2.
-I have to pay $1.99 to download my pre-order?
-JTBULLET= I understand that the $1.99 is for an additional seat, but I really don't need an extra seat. Do I still have to pay the 2 bucks?
- The only email I got this morning was an offcial "HEX is hear" email. Is this what you guys are getting? Are you getting a different email for pre-orders? (if I am missing a notice I need to contact them.)

THanks!

There is a different email for pre-orders, that contains 3 download links (Win, Mac, and Golden Pack). Mine was in my spam inbox, Yahoo mail automatically classified it as spam.

NO, you dont have to pay $1.99. But you CAN if you want to. If you havent gotten your pre-order link yet you need to contact someone at eovia. The $2 will be well spent though. You can always give it away if you want to. Good Christmas present.
