Hex purchase: DAZ Platinum question - Polyloop

Hi,

I was looking into purchasing Hex 2 at the DAZ store. You have to become a platinum member and that costs $30 and $8 for the first month. However I am not sure if you can cancel it right after pruchasing Hex. I read on the site that for the montly membership you have to pay the $30 and the first $8 and 11 monthly payments of $8. After reading that I have the idea the you need to be a member for at least one year before you can cancel it.

Does anyone know how it works?

You can set the account so it doesn't renew.

I'm totally confuse. I had Hexagon 1.21 last year and preordered Hexagon 2 about two days after the announcement. Now, for a guy like me all I want is Hexagon 2 and the bonus pack. I'm not interested in any card or buy any product from DAZ.

According to the emails I got, there's no option (unlike when I downloaded 1.21 before) for a direct link to just grab or download Hexagon 2 + bonus pack.

Instead, other than a $100 voucher + 1 month membership ($30 value), the ONLY option to get Hex 2 is to buy it for $1.99 at DAZ store accessible through your free one month platinum card and as I understand it spend $1.99 dollar off of the offered $100 voucher. Am I correct, so far?

Now, I read somewhere in this forum that you can actually download Hexagon (twice) and you will be given two serial numbers. Where is that option? Not that I'm interested, does that mean you will spend $3.98 (1.99+1.99) for that option? Is that even allowed?

Seems to me that if I didn't preorder, I still have my $99 in my pocket. Now, DAZ is offering Hexagon 2 for just $1.99 for new DAZ members, which is a $30 value until May 31. Oh my, I lost $67.01 ($99 - $30 = $69 - $1.99 = $67.01) IF I didn't preorder + the bonus pack (which I'm not so mad about.)

(I just got up from restful sleep and haven't read everything in this forum, so my apologies to the confusion. I'll appreciate any response.)

If you pre-ordered the upgrade, you'll be sent links today that will enable you to download Hex 2 and the Golden Pack.

moorsel...usually you can cancel whenever you like...but as this is such a large discount price wise it may be different atm...to be positive I would go to DAZ's forum and ask the question...or contact their support. They will gladly answer you there.

As you have pre-ordered the program..you will get Free Plat Club for a month (which will give you the opportunity to buy Hex 2 at $1.99) as well as getting the $100.00 voucher good on DAZ originals etc. (which I don't THINK you can actually use to pay the $1.99 because USUALLY their vouchers don't apply to Platinum Club Items...although they have made some coupons like that..usually it's only items that are under "DAZ Originals" that qualify for vouchers) So that part you may have to check on in the forum at DAZ...think there are details in the Commons there... Now, BECAUSE you preordered and technically have all ready BOUGHT 1 copy and should get the download soon......IF you bought one at $1.99 as well..you would get 2 serials and therefore you would have 2 copies. That is assuming you had preordered Hexagon 2. So what you were told and what you are thinking sounds right to me although I am not the authority LOL..but that's what I gathered from what I read as well

But I must admit I'm a bit confused too LOL

Yes, it is an option after signing up.

If you turn off the auto renew in your account settings, your CC will no longer be charged and the PlatClub account will automatically expire after a month.

before canceling a subscription to soon: any idea if it you need to be a member for downloading updates (as it is new software I expect updates repairing some bugs, having to pay $30 again for downloading an update is not a good idea)

No. Updates have no cost, and are not tied to PC membership.

Yes, both versions showed up in my account when I purchased it.
