Well, as a Carrara and Hexagon user (even beta tester). I think im about to cry.

THE ONLY QUESTION THAT I HAVE: WHERE DO I GET MY MONEY BACK FOR THE HEXAGON 2 PRE-ORDER?

I refuse to use a program with the DAZ brand!

I'd settle for the software I preordered. It's sloppy of DAZ and former Eovia USA to leave all of us in the dark like this. The major announcement was nothing but a press release with no information worth reading in it.

Bah! I want my software. Hasn't anyone learned that keeping things like this a secret from the customers (paying customers) generates hurt feelings and distrust from the begining?

Why didn't Eovia release Hex2 today, and announce the take-over for tomorrow ?

I got an E-mail from Bob, so write him a mail if you want the refund.

Hello,

I know this is a time of uncertainty, but I am confident that as the time goes by the proof of our committment to our customers will become clear.

We will shortly be delivering Hexagon 2. As a part of this, we will be providing those who pre-ordered the Hex 2 upgrade with a bonus gift. That announcement will be sent to the pre-order list tomorrow (Wednesday).

However, if you choose to request a refund of your pre-order, I will process this quickly today. I certainly hope that you choose to remain with us during this transition and I am confident that if you do you will not be disappointed.

Best regards,

Bob Stockwell

Director, Sales and Marketing

Eovia

Hello all,

I want to start a new thread to make answering your questions easier. I will post it in the "Eovia & Eovia 3D.net" section.

Thanks

Good! That's what I wanted to know. Now I can wait for them to release it. I don't want my money back.

I wonder if the bonus gift is just the bonus pack that they had already advertised to pre-orders, or will it be another bonus gift beyond that?

On the Daz forums this was said.

While I'm not the one to give the full details of how this is going to be handled, I can say that we're going to have a very nice offer for everyone who pre-ordered, and that all pre-orders will of course, still be filled immediately once Hexagon 2.0 ships (very soon!). Don't forget that all pre-orders also had a nice offer that wasn't/isn't/won't be available to anyone else who orders Hexagon 2.0 once it's released on the DAZ site.

Everything will continue as planned with the release of Hexagon 2.0, as has been explained. There were a couple of small delays that ocurred, but Hexagon 2.0 will be out before you know it. And DAZ will continue the operate the way we always have - treating the customer fairly. If you're not satisfied with your purchase of Hexagon 2.0, whether by a pre-order or by a purchase made after it is released, DAZ will honor our 30 day money-back guarantee just as we always do.

Hope that helps give a bit more information on that question.

Steve

Cheers

Mike R

I agree with you, Solo. I don't mind DAZ taking over Eovia. This will not change Hex 2 except for the DAZ brand which I can live with. And if Hex 3 or 2.5 or whatever will not live up to the reputation that Hexagon has in the community I will simply not buy it.

I always thought that honesty was a key factor to satisfied customers, at least my customer brain works like this. Anything else will scare me as a customer. If the companies want to buy each other that's okay with me. I am not interested in who buys who (or is it whom?). All I want is a good product and from what I have seen Hex 2 is a good product.

I hope all the companies will take what is happening here as a hint to treat their customers with a maximum amount of information.

Now, I'll just shut up and wait for Hex 2.

How about those of us who were kinda holding our breath awaiting for a demo to see if Hex 2 was really worth the upgrade? I know I was in that boat, as I've been really getting a lot of satisfaction out of my Hexagon usage in the past month... I was hoping to get in on that $99 upgrade pursuant to demoing Hex2... oh well...
