How is he doing that? Edge Extrude.

Hey Guys,

In the Flying Car (Box and Edge Modeling) Video. The artist when working on the engine is selecting a loop of edges doing edge extrudes using the universal manipulator. All of the methods Ive seen in hex goes into one of the "auto-modes" which sometimes I dont want .... I cant figure out gow hes doing that .

Anyone know how?

Heres a link to the Vid (last series on the page - bottom left of the series).

http://www.eovia.com/products/hexago...n_inaction.asp

EDIT: Oops ... figured it out its Fast Extrude ... what confused me was when I selected that option nothing seemed to happen, I expected the Uni. Manip. to show up. Had to click in the window 1st.

Thx

Dan

Speaking of the videos on the Evovia website, what I want to know is how they make the quicktime video where everytime they click the little red circle flashes. Thomas, can you tell me which program Eovia is using to create these movies - or how they're doing it? Thanks!

Another question about the same vid.. ( sorry to use your thread )
groups of edges are selected then looped and then removed/deleted or something. What is this called ?
How is it done?
Why would you want to do this?

TY
