Is there a better way to close the ends of an odd shaped tube other than using the facet tool ?

under the vertex modeling tab the second last icon is the "close" tool

And also ; you may won't forget to tesselate the closure if you do not want a huge ngons (I would chose the tri tesselation among other solutions)
