videos maybe?

i was planning to post some user experience&advice about Carrara and Hexagon for first post, but the title Hexagon 2 made me excited and really want to see what Eovia guys doing about the next release

by the way i'm an industrial designer, animator and post production artist from Turkey. I run my own small company about graphic design, industrial design and 2d-3d fx/animation mostly for TV ads. I'm following the forum and Eovia for some time and i really really appreciate. i'll have some questions and maybe little advices about products later. So, hi everybody.

Looks like floating palettes, some sort of symetry modelling, and one click smoothing

Hey the new properties panel is better better. Poly, point, edge count was necessary and now user dont have to guess smoothing amount or count how much he hit page up

except the floating palette, you didn't guess two others ;)
No kind of symmetry modeling, it's only a multiselection.
Hint: Just take care of the polygon count

No, only 921 000 polygons
You have a polycount in Hexagon 1, in the object property panel

Yes I check in H1, I can make an object to 350000 polygons and when I smooth again. ha it disappears, also can not move selections round. Most model I make till now less than 100k, now I can make King Kong

Hmm with that high polygoncount. What gives? Displacementmapping creation perchance?

Thats what I think because the poly count is way to high and the selected polys are moving without effecting the rest.

So i think there is a high poly model and he is working ona low poly.

Check out the name of the movie fast_poly.mov

I think we have these three things:

1. floating palettes (this is great - I hope they are all floating)
2. increased poly count without slowdown
3. new buttons for easy acces to smoothing and to see which smoothing level you are at

Looking forward to the next teaser
