With the huge number of freebee Photoshop brushes I have accumulated over time, the idea of being able to use them in Hex2 is, to say the least, exhilarating. One, what chance of Eovia being able to do a direct conversion thinghy of the ABR files? Two, any help from anyone on an Photoshop Action which I can set up to convert those ABR files to Hexagon 2 compatability?

I know this isnt likely, but... is there anyway that those people that pre-purchased Hex2 can get their hands on the Beta? I singed up for beta testing along time ago but got no responce.

Just wondering.... Thanks...

When I preorder carrara 5 pro I got the beta version to use until the full release was released
It would be nice to get the beta version of hex2 to get used to before the final release too

I've directed some people over in the DAZ forums over here and almost every one has pre-ordered already or plan to buy it !

For the price I can't see why anyone would NOT want this great product and a lot of people seem to agree.

naah someone should just create an droplet or action for converting these brushes. Is burhs cycling allowed in the actions? I'll check later. and there are free photoshop plugins, is there no way to do this for free?

I was going to ask about getting a go with the beta as we did for C5 but edited it out. I imagine this would take some planning and setting up so I think it might be too late for this time, but would be nice for future versions.

Is this a dumb question? Watching the videos, it would seem that any image, colour or black and white, can be either, or both, a texture and displacement brush?

All the new postings on the blog are awsome!... I would love to see a movie of the displacement and textures going on with Symetry...

Also, its says pen tables are compatable with it... so I am assuming all the brushes are presure sensative?

Flower Surprised

i'm surprised that they fit so many features into their next release... I dont just meen fit in... but they managed to do it first... can anyone even remember when modo 2 was promised or for that matter silo 2. Its just cool that silo 1 could come out after these packages have been around and then still beat their competition to a version 2.

on a side evil note, i do hope that hex 2 has fixed a lot of the buggieness that i know we all manage sometimes in hexagon 1

WAY to go.

John Nack posted this on his blog:

Why do I have to pay for the Photoshop SDK?

A. You don't! Technically, you never did, but a few years back a policy change meant that in order to request the SDK, you needed a paid membership in the Adobe Solutions Network. There are lots of good reasons to join the ASN (co-marketing, tech support, product discounts, etc.), but you shouldn't have to sign up just to get the SDK. So, some time back (at least a year ago) we changed the policy so that you can simply make the request via the SDK via a Web form.

We've also split the SDK between two different versions, Basic and Advanced. The Basic SDK includes everything you'll need except the File Format and File Import/Export information. For that, you'll need to make a request through the link provided above so that we can do the additional paperwork to get you the Advanced SDK (still no charge).

We haven’t done a good job of communicating this change (in fact, some of the old info still exists & needs to be updated), so I thought I’d blog it here.

Thomas, you don't have to join the ASN to get the SDK.

All you have to do is login with your Adobe ID (or create one if you don't have one) and fiil ouit and then submit the form http://partners.adobe.com/public/dev...sdk_request.do

After they review the form they will upgrade your login acces in order to be able to download the SDK.

Cheers.
