Don't really know what this Shortcut Editor means. Though I understand why current Hexagon mouse functions are designed the way they are: LMB for selection and picking, which is normal. MMB for panning, which, I think, is just right as well as for zooming in and out for the Wheel. And window/polygon selection for the RMB. You'd soon realize it makes sense when you're editing a lot of verts.

Also, there are great mouses out there for the Mac that have everything. 2-4 buttons, wheel, etc. I have one and it works great on my Mac. People with Wacom Tablets also get a 4 button mouse with a wheel on the Mac.

My Mac mighty mouse actually has a wheel and 4 buttons. The problem is that Hexagon will not work with any wheel (middle) button on a Mac. It's a Hexagon fault. No middle button mouse will work. I tried my wacom and it seems useful in Hexagon. |

I also would greatly appreciate mouse mapping support. All things being equal, I prefer being able to dolly with a depressed MMB (with no additional keyboard key required, that is). (note: this point may be moot in the next Hex version. If it really is to be easy to use via tablet, its going to need to support dolly movement by just dragging on "empty" space, a la Zbrush) For speed, I would also like to be able to validate operations from my mouse, and map one of my many additional mouse buttons (mb3,mb4, etc.) to that end. Thanks for listening ! |

Well actually I would prefer to be able to manipulate mouse button functions too. Think about this for example, many maya users that use Modo think that customizing mouse flow would be better cause if they enable Maya navigation mode they loose double clicking edgeloop selection mode that I think it's really useful. I quote ScottC suggestion too. I've a microsoft mouse with five buttons I would find for sure useful functions for the other ones ![]() Sanxer. |
