Amapi newbie, can't connect two polylines

I'm brand new to Amapi and in the process of playing around with the polyline tool, I can't seem to find any command to join two selected endpoints on different polylines. I'd like the selected points to stay where they are and have Amapi draw a new line between the two. I'm sure this is an easy one, but am unable to find any way to accomplish it.

Any help appreciated.

In Amapi 7?

I tried it just now. I made two separate lines (both separate objects even). Then I made a line connecting them together by holding the SHIFT key which made the tool snap to the points on the lines I wanted to draw to/from. Then I welded them together.

hello ken,
as Shonner said , draw your first 2 polylines, select the draw tool again and choose the polyline option.
hold the shift key to snap to points draw the ployline then weld .
